Let’s Re-Create!

Those negative thoughts about yourself that pop up during the course of your day ARE NOT YOUR FAULT. They come from concepts that were wired into your brain before you were even born, as a result of experiences your parents had. They are preprogrammed beliefs that shaped your identity as you grew and resulted in the life you are living now. The same thing, perhaps even the same thoughts, happen to millions of people but each of us has the ability to choose how we react to those thoughts.

What if we were to re-create our lives into something we want to experience? Something that’s based on our passions, our values, our desires? When we look at the negative thoughts that programmed our present lives into a form that isn’t supporting us, i.e. when we really analyze those thoughts and recognize where they came from and where they are wrong, or misguided, then we start to release those negative patterns.

For example, if you grew up thinking you are lazy, and that’s bad, you can look closely at that thought now and adjust it. Maybe being lazy is actually a form of self-care that is necessary for you to conserve your energy and it allows you to accomplish more than you would if you weren’t “lazy”?

What does your ideal life look like? Write down your values and intentions, your passions and desires. Can you craft a road map for a life from those? If you are already at least part-way through your life’s journey, this would be a road map for the remainder of the journey. Does it look different from the life’s road map you have been following so far? The one that was preprogrammed for you?
